If the results of the review are satisfactory the member will be recommended for membership at the next scheduled monthly meeting.

The Next Six Months

Newly accepted members will undergo training, as applicable, in First Responder, Air Brake endorsement, Emergency Vehicle Driving and Operation, W.C.B. hearing and lung testing, and Hepatitis B vaccination during the next six months of membership.  Completion of the NFPA Firefighter 1 Certification Standard will be required for all suppression recruits within 24 months of initial training.

Continued attendance at training sessions, calls and/or public education sessions is critical to the development of new personnel into a valued member of the department.
