The Pitt Meadows Fire and Rescue Service has gained notoriety over the years as a place where innovation occurs. As a result we have developed some specialties of our own. We also recognize that the expertise of others is sometimes necessary from us to carry out our complete mandate in the community.

Some examples of our diverse abilities are:

	Large Animal Rescue
	FarmMedic for rescue and treatment in the farming industry
	Long-lay hose load for extended distance attack lines

For specialty services such as aerial platforms, hazardous materials response, and high angle/confined space rescue we depend on our Mutual Aid partners from the Maple Ridge Fire Department and the Port Coquitlam Fire Department. Visit them from our links page.
