The Pitt Meadows Fire and Rescue Service is fully trained and equipped to provide emergency rescue and extrication for trapped persons in all types of vehicles.

The department uses the Holmatro Rescue system for hydraulic cutters and spreaders. 

Hydraulic Ram spreading/pulling tools from Hurst allow us to move dashboards or other heavy objects in order to free trapped persons.

For lifting very heavy objects or vehicles we have the Maxiforce Lifting Bag System which operates on compressed air.

Vehicle Rescue can come in all shapes and sizes and we are often faced with some challenging situations.
