New Fire Dept. Bylaws

The Pitt Meadows Fire & Rescue Service has prepared two new bylaws that were finalized on Tuesday, April 21st, 2009.  Please see the links below for the full version of the new bylaws.

New Motor Vehicle Act Regulation to Protect Emergency Workers at Roadside

Starting June 1st, 2009 a new regulation under the Motor Vehicle Act will better protect the safety of police officers and other workers outside their emergency vehicles on BC roads.

Hot Summer Nights

Well, it’s another year and another opportunity to have the Fire Rescue Service attend your summer event.  Every year our dedicated firefighters attend events right at your home in the summer to help promote fire safety initiatives.  But more importantly we inspire youngsters to keep safe and have fun while educating!

Fire Safety Planning for Construction & Demolition Sites

Construction fires are a matter of concern throughout the industry -- particularly fires in multi-storey wood frame buildings. The Office of the Fire Commissioner has developed a new Bulletin on Fire Safety Planning for Construction and Demolition Sites that provides a checklist clarifying what is required by the Building and Fire Codes.
