Fire Prevention Week and Fire Rescue Service Open House Please join us on Saturday, October 2nd from noon to 3:00pm at the Fire Hall located at 19240 122A Ave. We will have displays from local emergency personnel as well as free hot dogs and other refreshments. Tim Horton's will be on site to hand out free Tim-bits and coffee. There will be a kid's fun station and elementary aged children including one boy and one girl can enter a free draw to become Chief for a Day! The Great British Columbia Shake Out On January 26th at 10:26am, 2011 the Province of British Columbia will be conducting an earthquake exercise. This event is being organized by the Provincial Emergency Program for British Columbia and the British Columbia Earthquake Alliance. Participants will be asked to partake in a "drop, cover and hold on" to learn how to protect yourself during an earthquake. This program is tailored to business owners and schools.
