PMFRS 2010 Performance Measures & Annual Report

We are proud to present the first of many Annual Reports to come.   A year of growth and change for the PMFRS to say the least.  Please view this comprehensive document on what has taken place in our department.

The Pitt Meadows Fire & Rescue Service now features properly trained technicians available to local residents for the inspection of their child restraint system. 

Please call Mike Larsson to book an appointment at 604.465.2491.

Please note that requests may be made by appointment only and are subject to cancellation due to emergency calls.


Burning Regulations in the City of Pitt Meadows

The burning of wood in backyard fire pits or wood burning cooking pits is not permitted at anytime, anywhere in the City of Pitt Meadows.  The next burn season for agricultural land only will be March 1-April 30, 2012.  A permit will be required to burn during this time.  Please contact the Fire Department for more information.

Burn Awareness Week

Feb 5-11, 2012

Visit the Burn Fund website to learn how to keep you and your family safe from potentially harmful situations.


Smoke Alarm/CO Alarm Recycling Program

There is a new province-wide program for recycling used or expired smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms.

Residents can now drop off used smoke and carbon monoxide alarms at their local depots for recycling.  The recycling program is called AlarmRecycle.
